CHANGES TO THE BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM FEE STRUCTURE
A new Fee Structure will be in effect starting in the 2017-2018 School Year:

FOR FAMILIES WITH 1 CHILD IN BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM:

FOR FAMILIES WITH 2 OR MORE CHILDREN IN BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM:
ð $6.00/DAY/CHILD #2 MAXIMUM

*This new DAILY MAXIMUM rate applies for both DROP-IN USE and EVERYDAY USE.*
HOURS OF OPERATION:
Before School: 7:00am to 8:30am
After School: 3:45pm to 5:30pm
After School – Early Dismissal: 2:15pm to 5:30pm
The Before and After School Program is available on all days that the school is open for regular classes and on days when staff meetings are held.
PROGRAM ATTENDANCE:
This program will be compulsory for all students arriving at school before 8:30am or staying after school after 3:45pm. All students arriving before 8:30am OR not picked up by 3:45pm will be signed in to the Before and After School Program. This includes siblings of students in Before or After School Sport Teams/Activities.
For students whose parents are attending the Parents Association Monthly Meetings or meeting with Principal/Teacher, the student must sign into the program, but no fee will apply.
HERITAGE LANGUAGE STUDENTS:
If students who attend Heritage Language classes arrive before 7:50am, they will have to go to the Before and After School Program until their Heritage Language classes begin. The regular $3.50 Before School Session fee will apply.
The before and after school program is available on all days that the school is open for regular classes and on days when staff meetings are held at the regular hourly rate.
Billing
Families will be billed the third week of each month. Payment is due at the end of each month. If a family fails to pay, they will not be allowed to stay in the program.
Storms
If Holy Ghost School is closed due to a storm, the before and after school program will also be closed.
Parental Concerns
If a parent has any questions or concerns regarding the before or after school program they should first contact the program coordinator. If the problem persists after the initial call to the program coordinator parents should then contact the principal.
Program Attendance
This program will be compulsory for all students arriving at school before 8:45 a.m. or staying at school after 3:45 p.m.
If a student is not enrolled in the program but noticed at school before 8:45 a.m. or after
3:45 p.m. he/she will be taken into the program and the parent will be charged for the program before 8:00 a.m. and after 4:00 p.m.
Arrival and Departure of Children
Parents are responsible for delivering and picking up of their children. Children should be dropped off at the front entrance of school (Selkirk Avenue). For your children’s safety please bring them into the school and sign them in. For the after school program parents are required to give the program co-coordinator a list of persons authorized to pick up their children from the school. It is the parent’s responsibility to sign their child(ren) out of the program.
Activities
Students who stay in the before or after school program will be allowed to work on homework, read a book, or quietly play a board game.
Snacks
Snacks will not be provided. If your child wishes to have a snack in the after school program please send extra with his/her lunch.
General Rules
- Children are not allowed to wander in the hallways
- The children are not allowed to leave the designated area without permission of the program coordinator.
- All regular school rules will apply to the children.
Discipline
The same expectations for student behavior will be expected for the before and after school program as during the school day. Should there be any discipline problems; the parent will receive written notification. If the problems persist the child will lose the privilege of attending the before and after school program.
NSF Cheques
There will be a charge for NSF cheques.
