PARISH ANNOUNCEMENTS

1. TODAY – November 2 – THE COMMEMORATION OF ALL THE FAITHUL DEPARTED
• Today, in a special way we remember our dearly departed brothers and sisters, who, with the help of our prayers, will eventually be gathered in eternal happiness. On this day we light a candle in memory of our dearly departed, whether they are at rest in our cemetery or elsewhere with these words:
• Also today at 5:30 pm we will have a Candlelight Memorial Service followed by the Mass in English.
2. THIS WEEK WE CELEBRATE:
• Tuesday, November 4 - ST. CHARLES BOROMEO, BISHOP (memorial)
• Friday, November 7 – FIRST FRIDAY OF THE MONTH at 6:30 pm
o Adoration: 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm.
o Devotions: 6:30 pm; Confession starting at 5:30 pm.
3. NOVEMBER – MONTH TO REMEMBER OUR DEARLY DEPARTED
• WYPOMINKI (Prayer for all faithful departed) - Envelopes for the Wypominki are available in the entrance to the church, please place the envelopes in the collection basket or bring to the parish office.
• ROSARY FOR ALL THE FAITHFUL DEPARTED – is prayed on weekdays at 6:30 pm from Saturday, November 1 to Saturday, November 8.
• PLENARY INDULGENCE - November 1 to 8 you may avail yourself of this indulgence and offer it for your dearly departed by visiting a cemetery and offering a short prayer for those who have passes on to eternity. You need to be in the state of grace.
4. PARISH GROUPS MEETINGS:
• RCIA – Sundays, November 2 & 9 following the 9:30 am Mass.
• ADULT FAITH FORMATION - Tuesday, November 4 following the evening Mass
• BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT GROUP – Thursday, November 6 at 6:00 pm
5. CATHOLIC WOMEN’S LEAGUE - BAZAAR RAFFLE
• Congratulations to all the lucky winners! The names are listed in our bulletin; please check if it is you!!!!
• CWL are also asking those who have not yet returned their Raffle books to please do so as soon as possible by dropping off at the parish office during regular hours or by placing in the Sunday collection basket.
6. SUNDAY MISSALS
• Are available in the Sacristy for our English Lectors.
7. ANNIVERSARY PENS
• There are still a few souvenir pens available for purchase commemorating the 125th Anniversary of Holy Ghost Parish this year.
• These will be available for sale on Saturday, November 8 (following the evening mass) & Sunday, November 9 (following all morning masses) in the Pritchard Avenue entrance. This will be the last sale for these pens so please don’t miss this wonderful opportunity to purchase these beautiful keepsakes. Cost: $2.00 each.
8. HOLY GHOST PARISH CEMETERY
• On Sunday, November 9 there will be a collection in support of our Cemetery Fund. There are pink envelopes in your Sunday offertory envelopes for this collection. Thank you!
• We are responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of our cemeteries. We have continued with the foundation repair this year, replaced the Calvary steps and expanded the path around our Columbarium. You can read more about the cemetery work in our bulletin.
• In the spring of 2026, we will be installing three new benches around the Columbarium and we are looking for bench sponsors. The cost of one bench is about $2,500.00. If you, as individual, family or organization, would like to support a bench, please contact our parish office.
• A reminder: the cemetery Clean-up will be on Monday, November 10.
9. NATIONAL INDEPENDENCE DAY OF POLAND
• Solemn Mass in the intention of Poland offered by Canadian Polish Congress, Manitoba Branch will be celebrated in our church on November 9 at 11:00 am. Academy will follow the Mass and it will be in our parish hall
10. PAINTING OF THE CHURCH
• To date we have collected $270,347.00.00.
• Further donations can be made in the blue envelopes marked "Painting". Thank you for your generosity!
11. SINCERE APPRECIATION TO THE FOLLOWING:
• Catholic Women’s League for their hard work and dedication in organizing our Fall Bazaar.
• All who donated baking, prizes & items for sale.
• All who came to help make perogies, cabbage rolls & bigos.
• All parishioners and guests who came & helped support our parish event. This year, the CWL made a total of $8282.80!
• Our office staff and volunteers who prepared the All Saints Party.
• All who donated candies and supported this event financially: Knights of Columbus and Advanced Environmental (R. Czajka and family).
• Bereavement Support Group for organizing the Candlelight Memorial Service.
